ECOSYSTEMS
Preservation our way of life
We perform system repair to protect or improve the ecosystem services we depend on to maintain our social, cultural and economic well-being.
Our approach is to work with catchment processes by maintaining and improving an ecosystem's structural components and managing current and emerging threats to their functioning.
Our activities involve a high level of integration with other initiatives to improve overall outcomes for the environment, which are enhanced through revegetation with native plant species, control of pest species and planning for climate change.

Supporting first nations peoples
Wanjuru Elders have asked for catchment rehabilitation and employment opportunities for younger Wanjuru to work on land and sea country.
Our approach is to develop the capacity and skill sets of Wanjuru to restore ecosystem function. To effectively care for country, Wanjuru combine cultural knowledge with environmental restoration and rehabilitation within a modified landscape.
Our actions involve providing accredited training, creating opportunities for skills development and supporting personal development through exposure to all aspects of natural resource management.

CARING FOR COUNTRY
We assist Wanjuru Elders and younger generations to meet custodial obligations to look after country and pass knowledge to younger generations. We do this by actively seeking advice on management and promotion of culture, providing on country project site visits, and involving Wanjuru in planning and formal functions. We encourage and assist Wanjuru Elders to record, map and document cultural heritage.
EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING
We regard Wanjuru as future leaders. In line with the complex and challenging nature of environmental restoration, we invest in their capacity to work alongside landholders, scientists, engineers, government, natural resource management organisations, local organisations and corporate sector.
